  • Following off on that great presentation, so Coco and I are actually going to do a demo now of SWOOP Analytics just to showcase how you can build your business case for Yammer by letting the data tell the story. So Coco is going to play the role of the CEO for Demco. So I'm just going to share my screen.

Let's get this. This will be our acting debut or our farewell. So probably farewell for me, but here we go.

Enjoy everyone. Right, okay, so Coco is the CEO and she's finally given me, so I am the head of comms and engagement at Demco and I have 10 minutes with Coco to persuade her to use Yammer. So as your CEO, I love email and my monthly newsletter that is sent by your team goes down very well.

So why should I be using Yammer? Well, just going to show you this. So can you see here the key stats on Yammer? So I just want to show you how our Yammer enterprise is doing at the moment and as you can see from all these big numbers, there's a lot of activity happening on Yammer that you're missing out on Coco. So is that good activity or is it just like a lot of noise? Let's have a look.

So if I scroll down here to the community health index, going back to what Sharon and Dr. Lars Lockley just spoke about is this whole community health index where SWOOP benchmarks lots of other communities and other Yammer networks. So we can see that us at Demco are doing amazing. So our community health index, we're in the green, we're above average and it's looking great.

So not noise at all. It's having really super interactive conversations happening on our Yammer network. Well, I'm always so busy.

So which Yammer communities should I go into? Like where is the action happening? Okay, so if I'm going to jump to communities now and then we can have an overall view of what's happening and then here we can see if I just scroll down into the content, we can see what the most engaging posts are happening within our communities and we can see what top communities are happening. So you can see here that we're filtered on the social media and marketing and you can just search at the top. So you can just search what community you're after and then you can drill down and you can see all the conversations that are happening within this network.

You can also see, I just want to show you the hot topics as well, so things that are being spoken about, hashtags that are being used. You can see here that these are being spoken about in this social media and marketing network community. So what are people talking about in that community then? Why is it so busy? Let's have a look.

So here, the sharing stage, so we've got people having great conversations. You can see from this post here that we've had 30 replies, we've had 14 reactions and there's only seven people. So it means that there's a really great two-way conversation happening within this community.

So by just using these analytics and drilling down into each of these communities, you can see what's happening, what's thriving, what's going on and these are conversations you are missing out on, Coco. So, well, hold on a minute. What, what are they using Yammer to complain and maybe bicker back and forth? Like, is it positive or is it negative discussion happening? How do I know? Well, let's have a look.

So I've just clicked into the topics, so we're talking about topics now and I've just clicked in and we can see here the sentiment analysis. So what this does, it uses AI technology to then really focus on the language that is being used within Yammer. But I just want to say, Coco, that, you know, we have a lot of red and we have a lot of green, but actually, you know, the fact that we do see red, it doesn't always mean it's a bad thing.

I think the fact that we have created a really safe and secure place on Yammer for people to actually air their frustrations, to be able to say how they're feeling, you know, and that's a really, really good thing. So I think, you know, you can absolutely, we can drill down, we can look at sentiment analysis, but it is a mixture of positive and maybe not always negative. Like I said, it's just the language that's being used.

Interesting. I probably never get this information from my monthly newsletter. So what about the broader business? Can you tell me what people are engaging with most this calendar year? Absolutely.

So if I go back to the enterprise dashboard, and again, just this is going to show us an overall view of what's happening. And then here you can use your date picker. So let's just look at year to date, for example.

And so now we're seeing what's been happening within our Yammer community over year to date. And so we can see that there's been some great engaging posts. Again, you can see the hot topics here, sentiment analysis, you know, and then this keyword cloud, which I personally really love.

And this really kick calls out all the things that have been spoken about. So you can see that share space is being spoken about a lot. People, obviously, has come up in 218 times within Yammer.

And I think that just shows you what a lovely people focused community we are. Wow, you're so smart, Gemma. Boy, I think you got me here.

What about the hot topic number three, the thanks hashtag? What's that about? What does it mean? That means that people are talking about the hashtag. So they are using that hashtag thanks when they are posting. And if we click on it, you can see a jump to the topics dashboard.

Then we can see where it's being spoken about. You can have a look at, you know, I'm just going to go into collaboration. You can see who's thanking who by using these cross enterprise collaboration maps, which I think are super clever.

So the thicker the line, the more interaction that's happening. You can see that we've got great two way relationships happening. So there's a lot going on.

And these people are just very thankful for their colleagues and they're saying thank you, you know, out loud into those communities. OK, so they're influencers. So what are they doing to engage others and what actually works in terms of engagements with them? Well, let's have a look.

How can I leverage that? I've gone back into enterprise and we're going to look at the engagement now on these. So you can see here out of all these people, top 10, I am Frankie Switzer, number one influencer on Yammer. And the thing is, Coco, that I would love to see your name in here and your exec team.

None of your exec team are even showing up on Yammer at the moment. And I just think you are missing out. I think as CEO, please don't ever underestimate what a like or a thank you can do for somebody.

So people here, they're engaging. So you can see they're mentioning people. So it's like me talking to you, Coco, and I'll be bringing you into that conversation, you know, ask questions.

We know that if you ask questions on Yammer, you're four times more likely to get a response. So just honestly, just dive in, have a go. And I think, you know, you could make such a difference.

I can definitely start asking questions and maybe I'm mentioning people as well, bringing them into the party, I guess, if you can say that. So seeing that I'm not really in Yammer, who are the people that are really leading the business then? So these people, so these influential people here, and I just think, you know, let's turn it around. I just want to show you that our influencer risk score is at 42 percent.

So we've got, you know, a few at the top, and I think it would be great just to get you or some of the team, senior leaders on onto Yammer. And then I would love you to overtake me. Well, how do I learn more about my own behavior and if I'm doing the right stuff or not? And how do I become an influencer? That's simple, Coco.

Everybody here has access to their own personal dashboard. So what you can see here is how you're doing on Yammer. OK, so we also have personas.

So you can see I'm an engager, which is really where you want to be. You can see how you've been doing year to date. So we've still got it selected here.

So you can see that I have done 330 posts in the last year. You can see the community activity for this. You have a wealth of knowledge and data here at your fingertips that you can see and you can really use this data to change your behaviors to become an amazing Yammer user, Coco.

Well, I think you've got me here. So I'm so busy, Gemma. Can you help me with Yammer? Can you start posting for me? No, no, Coco.

This is about you. This is about you being authentic and it's about you building trust. Honestly, you'll love it once you get started and just download it on your phone and just remember that 3, 2, 1 rule.

Every time you go onto Yammer, you make a post. So that's number one. OK, then you do two replies and then you do three responses.

It's as simple as that. You need probably five minutes just to make some time to go onto Yammer and be seen, be heard, interact, like and remember to ask those questions. Excellent.
