Who can participate?
You must have a minimum 5000 employees on SharePoint intranet and your intranet must have been active for more than six months. There is no limit to the upper number of colleagues on your SharePoint intranet.

What do you get?
SWOOP publishes a Global SharePoint Intranet Benchmarking Report which is written after analysing the data from all participating organisations. You will be among the first notified about the release of the 2026 report. If your SharePoint intranet is among the best, you will be offered the opportunity to be mentioned in the report and share your learnings.
Free custom report
You can also opt-in to receive a custom report authored by SWOOP’s Chief Scientist Dr Laurence Lock Lee. This custom report compares the results of your intranet with all other participating organisations. This will include a comparison of your intranet against different metrics and show how you scored against the average, and the best, performing organisations. We will also compare your collaborative network performance against others, and Dr Lock Lee will provide a qualitative summary of your organisation’s strengths and areas for improvement.
Your data is 100% confidential
SWOOP does not store any content, names or email addresses. Your company name is kept confidential and your participation is not disclosed. If your SharePoint intranet is among the best in the world we will ask your permission to mention you and offer you the opportunity to have a case study written, which will then be included in the global benchmarking report. In your custom report (provided only to you) we will show how you compare with others but you will not be able to see who these other organisations are.
SWOOP Analytics is ISO27001 certified. We can provide you with a copy of our ISO27001 certificate and accompanying Statement of Applicability. Annual independent third party penetration tests are conducted and a summary of the report findings can be provided. A full list of the data fields we store are available. The data we extract is stored with Microsoft Azure in one of the following countries, which you decide: US, Canada, Ireland, Germany, Australia. Your data is used only for the purpose of publishing the benchmarking report.
