Managing your favourites, reducing clutter and accessibility checks – the latest SWOOP Analytics features

We have a new favourite feature available in all SWOOP Analytics products which is all about managing your favourites, and we're pretty sure it's about to become one of your favourite features too!

There’s no more searching for your favourite Viva Engage community, topic on SharePoint intranet, or team channel on Microsoft Teams – you simply add them to your Favourites list and you can immediately receive all analytics related to them.

You can now edit, hide, and reorder your favourites directly within the SWOOP Analytics dashboard, making it easier to keep dashboards focused and relevant.

“This improvement addresses the previous limitation of not being able to edit favourites easily,” said SWOOP Analytics’ Product Director Matt Dodd.

The update also introduces a new selection experience, allowing you to manage your favourite pages and communities more intuitively. For admins, a CSV import feature is on the horizon, enabling bulk management of favourites across teams.

Ensuring search queries return relevant content and smarter results

If you’re in a large organisation, sometimes a search query can result in hundreds of results, which means you may have to spend time sifting through to find what you’re looking for.

To improve search usability in large environments, we’ve introduced search limits across all SWOOP Analytics products. This feature caps the number of results returned in search queries, helping users focus on the most relevant content.

“This is particularly useful for large organisations with extensive content,” Matt said.

“It ensures users aren’t overwhelmed by too many results.”

Custom grouping in Viva Engage: Smarter segmentation

For users of SWOOP Analytics for Viva Engage, we’ve added a powerful new way to group communities and topics using keyword-based logic. This allows for more flexible and meaningful segmentation which is especially useful for organisations running campaigns or tracking themes across multiple communities.

“The whole idea with this feature is that you want to select a batch of communities that all have something in common,” explained SWOOP Analytics CEO Cai Kjaer.

“It also looks at the description, not just the name, which makes it much more powerful.”

This enhancement is particularly valuable for internal communicators and community managers who want to track engagement across initiatives like diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), wellbeing, or leadership programs.

Accessibility checks in SharePoint intranet

We are proud to announce upcoming accessibility checks in SWOOP Analytics for SharePoint intranet. These checks will flag issues such as missing alt text, unclear link labels, and ARIA label problems - helping organisations build more inclusive and compliant digital experiences.

“These checks aim to improve the accessibility and usability of SharePoint intranet content,” Matt said.

Enterprise benchmarking + Dr SWOOP: See how you compare with other Viva Engage networks

We’re proud to announce our new Enterprise Benchmarking report in SWOOP Analytics for Viva Engage. This report allows organisations to compare their collaboration performance against anonymised industry benchmarks, offering a clear view of where they stand and where they can improve.. This report allows organisations to compare their collaboration performance against anonymised industry benchmarks, offering a clear view of where they stand and where they can improve.

But what makes this feature truly transformative is the integration of Dr SWOOP, our intelligent coaching assistant, directly into the benchmarking experience.

“We’re not just showing you where you rank, we’re helping you understand what to do about it,” Matt said.
