We can predict which posts will go viral!

The latest update to your SWOOP Analytics dashboard can predict which posts on Viva Engage or Workplace from Meta are likely to go viral.

Yes, you heard right! We can tell you, with about a 99% accuracy rating, which posts are likely to get high levels of engagement across your organisation.

The benefit of knowing which posts are likely to go viral means you can monitor them, even before they start to go out of control with comments, reactions and replies. This means community managers can be proactive and better facilitate emerging conversations.

We call this new feature the Forecast report. Think of it like a weather report, only we can predict popular posts! It’s like having your own personal meteorologist for Viva Engage and Workplace from Meta conversations.

These popular - or viral - posts could be about celebrating a milestone, presenting an innovative new idea, or asking a question that many people care about. It could also be a post about an issue that ignites discussion.

The Forecast report is available under the “Enterprise” and “Community” segmentations and is found under the "Content" tab in SWOOP Analytics for Viva Engage and SWOOP Analytics for Workplace from Meta.

We also found that if a post has positive sentiment, then the thread that follows will also be positive. Interestingly, if an initial post has very negative sentiment, we found the comments and replies will lead to more positive sentiment. In a nutshell, our new Forecast feature means we can predict, with a 99% degree of confidence:

·        A person with a high SWOOP Analytics Influencer Score who posts a message in a large community will get a lot of engagement (reactions + replies) by lots of different people.

·        If the post has positive sentiment, then the thread that follows will also be positive.

Armed with these predictions we believe we can help community managers feel more confident they are aware of emerging discussions. That means community managers can proactively make decisions based on how the discussions unfold. For example, they can tag or inform relevant stakeholders so timely input can be provided, or they can moderate the discussion if required.
